Thanks. My recent experiences with KOA have convinced me its actually a pretty great place to stay, for the most part. I used to not enjoy it much, and now I’d recommend it to others. Enjoy!

@Garrett Daun, we’ve been going to KOAs every year for the last 7 years and for the most part, really like the consistency. Some are just fantastic, like the San Antonio KOA which is one of our favorites. I know a lot of folks don’t look at KOAs as ‘camping’ but who cares. I’ll take my trailer at a KOA over a hotel any day of the week. Here are my favorites: San Antonio KOA, Baton Rouge KOA (excellent with kids), Flagstaff KOA and Cibolo NM KOA (not a heck of a lot around there, but it’s was first rate service, clean and friendly).

Our most favorite KOA is the Coloma-St. Joseph KOA in Michigan. We both were born and raised in the area so it is like ‘coming home’ to set up camp there each summer for the past few years. Great hosts, too! Lots and lots of trees but enough sunshine to warm you on those sometime chillier summer days. Close to the Lake Michigan beaches and shoreline. On our way north to our destination, we also stay at two other KOAs – Bowling Green, KY and Indianapolis, IN KOA – both very nice and convenient to get to off the highways.

we stay at koa whenever we can but a lot of the older campground spaces are not long enough.

We always stay at KOAs. Wherever we go they are always nice and clean!
